In part one of this series, we discussed the essentials of facelift surgery, and eyelid surgery. We hope you take the opportunity to go back and read part one in its entirety if you get the chance, because we highlight who the best candidates are for the various plastic surgery procedures we offer at Front Range Plastic Surgery.
In part two, we will highlight Forehead Lift Surgery (also known as a brow lift).
Perhaps you’ve been considering a forehead lift, or brow lift. This is a cosmetic procedure that restores a youthful appearance to the region just above the eyes. Folks who have drooping brows elect to receive a brow lift in order to correct drooping brows in addition to remedying the horizontal lines and furrows that come along with age. Instead of appearing tired, angry, or sad, the procedure will help patients look youthful and refreshed!
Patients who are between the ages of 40 and 60 are the most common candidates for a brow lift. However, patients of any age can receive the treatment if they have developed frown lines or furrows because of stress or abnormal muscle activity. It is common for forehead lifts to be performed in tandem with facelifts.
All surgery carries inherent risk and some level of uncertainty. However, making sure that your cosmetic surgery is performed by a board-certified, experienced plastic surgeon will dramatically reduce the chances that complications will arise. If they do, the odds are high they will be minor.
